Frankenstein

Day 223

Frankenstein
5 shots out of 5

Frankenstein is a fun Halloween shooter where a few different ingredients come together to create something new.

We went to Chili's for dinner thanks to their Kids Eat Free coupon.

Love it when half of us eat for free!

I finally found a cocktail that I wanted to try that has Blackberry Schnapps in it.  I'm excited because I've been looking for one ever since I bought it.  Eureka, I've found it!!

I gave tonight's cocktail 5 shots out of 5.

Despite this shooters name (I would think a shooter called Frankenstein would be a mix of randomly "not so good together" stuff), this is a darn good cocktail!!

With Halloween approaching (yes I know we still have a month and 5 days to go.....remember I have 4 kids) I thought this would be a good shooter to make and try.

Glad I did!!

If you are having a Halloween party that includes cocktails (don't they all?), I highly suggest you serve this to your guests.

Here is the recipe for a Frankenstein:

  • 1 oz pineapple juice (sorry Stacy)
  • 1/2 oz melon liqueur
  • 1/2 oz blackberry schnapps

In a shaker, add ice and all of the ingredients above.  Shake it up real good and strain your spooky cocktail into a shot glass.

Here's to all of the stores being fully stocked with Halloween items and a month and 5 days of children anticipating Halloween!

Cheers!!

  1. YUMMY!!! I too have a random small bottle of a blackberry alcohol, but I'm pretty sure mines a bouron. Hooters has/had a blackberry jack and coke like drink I recreated at home a while back. Now I can use the rest of the bourbon, thanks.

    1. You too huh? I thought it would be one I'd use right away too.......but it's been sitting there for a while now. Glad I finally found something to use it in. Let me know how it goes with the blackberry bourbon!

  2. You love your pineapple juice! hehe I have had something like this with sweet and sour and I bet its not nearly as good as yours. I did not have another of mine. Today is a plain ole Long Island Iced Tea day. By next week it will be doubles of straight booze. We are snow birds and will be heading south on the 5th so no internet for awhile. Can you say withdrawals!

    1. You know it's not that I love it, it's that there are too many cocktails out there with it in them, lol. Have a good vacation and be safe! Remember one day at a time!! I'll be here when you get back! ;)
