Ying Yang Shooter

Day 324

Ying Yang Shooter
2.5 shots out of 5

It's the last Friday of winter break for my kids and my husband.  One final weekend and then we are back to our normally scheduled program.  I still have 4 more days until our oldest returns from his trip and I have to say that I am doing better today then I did yesterday, but still totally miss him.

I gave tonight's cocktail 2.5 shots out of 5.  I used my new gift, Fred Cool Shooters Ice Tray (Google Affiliate Ad) frozen shot glasses, from one of my best friends for tonight's cocktail.  It was an interesting experience and totally kept the shot cold, which was nice.  Check out my new gifts from two of my best friends on my New Equipment & Supplies tab. This shooter was OK for a shooter, but would make me run away if it was an actual cocktail.  The Jager and Peppermint flavors....well they were strong and stood out quite well.  This would not be a shooter that I would order at a bar for sure.....or would make at home again, ever.

Here is the recipe for a Ying Yang Shooter:

  • 3/4 oz Jagermeister
  • 3/4 oz Rumplemints
In a shot glass pour in both ingredients.  Give it a quick stir and shoot.

Here is a photo of the end result:

Here's to my very first shooter in a frozen shot glass!

Cheers!

  2. Ooh, I haven't had Rumplemintz in ages. I just bought more regular peppermint schnapps. Since you have both, can you do a taste test and see if they are much different? This sounds like such a nasty combo, I actually want to try it, but I absolutely have NO space for another bottle. The cabinet doors already can't fully close anymore!

    1. You know I'd never heard of it until my friend bought a bottle and left it in our freeze a while back. I totally would have used my regular peppermint schnapps for this cocktail if I didn't have it in the freezer already.

For you..........I will do a taste test to see the difference. I'll admit it kind of scares me, but I'll totally do it, haha. =)
